Adventure Inside


Next Friday (5/17/2024) our Adventure heads... Inside!
This new, big update to my asset collection focuses on interiors, but also provides new exteriors and animations for Adventure Begins.

Let's take a look at a little selection of mockups created with the available tiles:


As you can see I'm providing a collection of different structures, both modular and composeable, with different props and decorations, each with their own unique style - but each one in the retro aesthetic of the Adventure Begins "universe": from treetops to the bottom of the well,  classic house interiors, seaside caves, mysterious crystal-powered ruins, magic observatories and much more!

This update also features:
- new character animations, both idle poses, effects and special actions
- new, yet unrevealed exterior tilesets and animations
- improved tilesheets, godot and rpgmaker support
- other fixes


Let's take a look at some brand new tilesets and animations, exclusive to this new expansion. You will certainly recognize tiles from Adventure Begins 1.0, and characters from Adventurers & Adversaries. But animated waterwheels and composeable house exteriors are indeed brand new!

I will be always providing the legacy version as well, in case your project utilizes the previous tileset releases and formats.

If you already got your complete edition of Adventure Begins (please remember to check the character update - Adventurers & Adversaries) you will also get an updated access to Adventure Inside at no added cost.

This update will be the last major update to Adventure Begins.
Of course, the pack will receive continued support, bugfixes and possibly smaller releases and added content.
From June onwardI will be working and releasing major updates to a new, huge asset pack in the Adventure Begins universe: Adventures Below. This will be available as a separate purchase, as a bundle or to Patreon supporters during their monthly subscription period of June!

Hey Lucas!! Sure thing! I originally planned Adventure Below as a short follow-up free expansion to Adventure Begins instead of characters, but the popular demand for sprites and interior tiles made me think again about the release plan!  Adventure Below will have the same pattern (general tiles -> character expansion -> more expansions made by following feedback).

In short: Adventure Below, being its own thing, will be a separate itch.io project (of course bundles with Begins will be there) and a patreon monthly reward. :'>

Hello @Zaebucca, I noticed some issue on the knight character sprite (non helmet on, variant A) when he's walking to the left, his head have the color of his helmet when it shouldn't. The right walking is correct tho. Maybe you fixed it with Adventure Inside update !

Heyyyy Fafnor! I noticed the error a few days ago, and I've launched a few other hotfixes during the early release days - but I noticed this specific mistake way later (as well as the old witch not displaying the movement on some sprites)!

I will update this pack with all these fixes and overall improvements; Adventure Inside will also bring a major overhaul of tilesets, disposition and animations, mainly because Rpgmaker and Godot but also to improve readability and usage (for example the water cliff animation was a bit too compressed in a few tile space, sacrificing too much clarity in usage)
